Description
This SBIR topic seeks proposals for an integrated, fully open-source private 5G/6G-ready platform serving high-density venues such as major-league and collegiate stadiums, multipurpose arenas, outdoor amphitheaters, and convention or exhibition centers. The platform is intended to address connectivity, public-safety coverage, fan-facing digital services, cashierless concessions, camera and sensor networks, and first-responder communications. The proposed work should leverage OCUDU, SD-Core, SD-RAN, and OSC, with open interfaces such as the O-RAN 7.2x split. Technical efforts may include improvements to OCUDU O-CU/O-DU scheduler behavior, mobility management, uplink capacity, sustained-load stability, and security. Proposals must address multi-vendor interoperability and validation across devices, radio units, high-density and high-mobility radio-frequency conditions, Core/RIC/SMO integration, and security, while mapping use cases and Section 3.0 key performance measures to the applicable network performance classes and anticipated code or feature enhancements.
