Description
The district seeks a contractor to construct a new pick-up and drop-off road at an elementary school. Work includes site preparation and earthwork; flexible base and asphalt or concrete paving alternatives; drainage pipe, headwalls, and wingwalls; curbs and gutters; chain-link fencing and gates; barricades, signage, traffic handling, and temporary erosion controls. The contractor is responsible for labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing, and construction, and must provide a project scope, technical specifications, cost summary, and itemized pricing with the proposal. The proposal package also requires a bid form, bid bond, declaration of compliance, W-9, conflict-of-interest questionnaire, vendor information form, Form 1295, references, debarment and lobbying certifications, and insurance evidence. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond at submission; payment and performance bonds and specified insurance are required before work or, for certain documents, after award. The contract form states that work is to begin within 10 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed and be completed within 50 calendar days after starting work.
