Description
The Village of Lemont is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation of the Ed Bossert Drive bridge over the I&M Canal. The work includes cleaning expansion joints; removing and placing hot-mix asphalt surface material; cleaning and painting bearings; applying bridge-deck sealant; repairing concrete surfaces; and completing all related construction shown in the bid package and plans. Bidders must be qualified contractors and may be required to provide a Statement of Experience to receive the bid documents. Each proposal must include a cashier's certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the base bid. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 110% of the contract price, within 15 working days after notice of award.
