Description
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Philadelphia Operational Rations Program Office is conducting market research regarding a 56-gram flexible-package snack mix containing almonds, filberts, peanuts, raisins, and walnuts for use in Unitized Group Ration-Express operational ration modules. The product must have a minimum 36-month shelf life at 80°F and is considered a commercial item that may be modified to meet government requirements. The agency is seeking information from suppliers about experience producing, packaging, storing, and delivering similar fruit-and-nut products; minimum order quantities; lead times; supply-chain and market constraints; and the ability to surge production and sustain increased delivery rates for contingencies or emergency peacetime requirements. This is a Sources Sought notice and not a solicitation for proposals or a commitment to award a contract.
