Description
The City of Donalsonville is soliciting sealed bids for one construction contract covering flooding, street, and drainage system improvements serving the Highland Neighborhood. The scope includes grading roadside ditches along existing paved roadways; installing storm drainage and driveway piping; constructing outfall ditches; lowering existing water and gas main services; erosion and sediment control; and furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and associated measures required for completion. Bidders must be pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation contractors, and utility work must be performed by licensed Georgia utility contractors. The project is funded through CDBG Disaster Recovery Funds and is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968; Section 3 residents and business concerns are encouraged to apply. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount. Bids must include a 10% bid bond or certified cashier's check, and the required E-Verify compliance affidavit must be submitted with the bid. The work is allotted 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion and 194 consecutive calendar days for final completion and contract close-out.
