The City of Donalsonville is soliciting sealed bids for one construction contract covering flooding, street, and drainage system improvements serving the Highland Neighborhood. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for grading roadside ditches along existing paved roads; installing storm drainage and driveway piping; constructing outfall ditches; lowering existing water and gas main services; and performing erosion and sediment control and related measures. The project requires a Georgia Department of Transportation pre-qualified contractor, and all utility work must be performed by a licensed utility contractor in Georgia. Submissions must include a bid bond or certified cashier’s check of at least 10% of the bid amount. The successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount. Completion is required within 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion and 194 consecutive calendar days for final contract close-out. The project is funded through Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery funds and is identified as a Section 3 covered project.
