Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting 29 AN/BRR-6 Proximity Sensor Seated Switch Units, part number 8590860-1, NSN 5930-016592149, for submarine use. The supplier must manufacture the units in accordance with specified drawings, NAVSEA manuals, military specifications, and an electrical test procedure; meet vendor-qualification requirements for cable assemblies and plasma-coated connector bodies; and deliver the units to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, and DLA Distribution San Joaquin in Tracy, California. The requirement includes first-article and production-lot inspection and testing, government approval before production or shipment, quality inspection and test plans, configuration-control procedures, packaging, marking, and extensive inspection, test, conformance, compliance, and mercury-exclusion documentation. Evaluation will consider past performance and price. The solicitation is a total small-business set-aside and includes an option for increased quantity for 365 days.
