Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing seeks offset/collector blankets for sheet-fed Simultan offset presses and Super Orlof Intaglio presses used to manufacture U.S. currency paper. The blankets must meet the BEP specification, including defined dimensional, impression-depth, elongation, tensile-strength, durability, non-tacky surface, material, and environmental requirements. The specified stock item is BEP Part 2L002043. The requirement is structured as a firm-fixed-price, five-period IDIQ contract. Each delivery must include written compliance certification, inspection and test results, sampling-plan and lot-size information, and control charts for at least thickness, length, and width. Blankets must be packaged in protective wooden boxes, palletized, marked with required product, weight, quantity, contractor, lot, manufacturing-date, purchase-order, barcode, and hazard information, and delivered to designated BEP facilities as ordered. The notice is a sole-source intent notice rather than a request for competitive quotes; interested responsible sources may submit capability information demonstrating their ability to meet the requirement.
