Description
Dooly County Board of Commissioners seeks a qualified independent certified public accounting firm to audit the County’s financial statements for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026. The scope includes the annual financial statement audit, budgetary and compliance procedures, reporting required by Georgia law and the Georgia Department of Audits and Accounts, preparation or assistance with the annual financial report, and a Single Audit when federal-award expenditures or another applicable threshold requires one. The selected firm must demonstrate Georgia public-accounting authority and good standing, independence, recent comparable local-government audit experience, Government Auditing Standards and Single Audit experience, satisfactory peer review, adequate staffing, and the ability to meet the required schedule. Deliverables include audit planning, fieldwork, draft and final reports, required state submissions, compliance reporting, management communications, and possible Board presentation. The initial engagement covers one year with four optional one-year renewals. Proposals must include separate technical and cost proposal PDFs, required certifications and licenses, peer-review materials, references, insurance evidence, and other listed attachments.
