This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites grant applications for the establishment and support of Animal and Biological Material Resource Centers. These centers will provide essential resources for the biomedical research community, including specialized animal colonies, informatics tools, reagents, cell cultures, and genetic stocks. The primary goal is to enhance scientific rigor, transparency, and reproducibility in research. A key focus is the integration of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), such as cell cultures and computational models, to complement traditional animal-based research and promote the use of predictive human disease models. Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult with Scientific/Research staff prior to submission to discuss the appropriateness of their proposed resources and alignment with program priorities. Foreign organizations and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible to apply.
