Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking information from ocean carriers about their commercial availability and operational capacity to transport government-generated hazardous waste from Guam to permitted facilities on the U.S. West Coast. The estimated requirement is two 40-foot containers per week, with an indefinite shipping window. Waste may include RCRA-regulated materials, contaminated liquids and solids, used oil, batteries, and other regulated hazardous materials across multiple DOT/IMDG hazard classes. Shipments are generally consolidated in 40-foot containers; bulk liquids may use ISO tanks. Respondents are asked to describe their vessel availability and route coverage, Jones Act compliance, authorization and capability to handle the listed hazard classes, weekly throughput, operational or regulatory constraints, and willingness to support the transportation need. This is market research only and does not constitute a solicitation or commit the Government to an award.
