The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is issuing this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to encourage the translation of scientific discoveries and engineering developments into practical methods or tools. These advancements aim to address challenges in basic and applied research related to understanding, detecting, preventing, diagnosing, and treating cancer. The goal is to deliver new capabilities that support evolving requirements for technologies and methods relevant to advancing research and improving patient care across pre-clinical, clinical, and non-clinical settings. This opportunity is open to a wide range of eligible applicants, including various serving institutions (Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions), eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Indian/Native American Tribal Governments, non-domestic entities, regional organizations, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs), and U.S. Territories. Applicant types include for-profit organizations other than small businesses, special district governments, public and private institutions of higher education, public and Indian housing authorities, other Native American tribal organizations, small businesses, independent school districts, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, state governments, county governments, city or township governments, and non-profits (with or without 501c3 status).
