Description
The Air Force Research Laboratory/Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/RV) is seeking white papers and proposals for the Space Technology Advanced Research (STAR) program. This open Advanced Research Announcement (ARA) is aimed at maturing space-domain technologies related to space-flight, signals, transportation, and energy. The program seeks to advance technologies from early functional proof of concept through demonstration of full system or architecture prototypes. AFRL/RV is interested in research and development, modeling and simulation, fabrication, experimentation, characterization, testing, demonstration, prototyping, and analysis related to all aspects of space-flight systems. This includes space flight, on-orbit servicing, debris management, controlled reentry, associated ground systems, communications links, command and control, advanced spacecraft manufacturing technologies, and space system user equipment. The announcement covers areas such as space vehicle functionality and logistics, mission effects and capabilities, space system anomaly detection and protection, and space battle management, command, and control.
