Description
The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is soliciting proposals from qualified proponents to investigate and assess the condition of an approximately 530-meter, 150-millimeter ductile iron force watermain serving as the main feeder from the Lakeshore Main Pumphouse at Skaha Lake to the distribution system. The work is intended to identify developing issues, assess failure risk, anticipate remedial costs, and establish a rehabilitation or remediation plan before a catastrophic break occurs. The selected consultant will perform condition-assessment investigations and provide engineering analysis and recommendations concerning repair, rehabilitation, replacement, monitoring, and reliability. The proposal must address methodology and approach, project understanding, project management, schedule, site visits, team qualifications, resumes, three similar projects completed within the last five years, exceptions, certification, and pricing. The opportunity is delivered in British Columbia and the Central Okanagan region; the posting states that no physical delivery location has been specified and that the work may be performed remotely.
