Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division is conducting market research for a motorized pan-tilt positioner used to remotely mount and position sensing equipment, including cameras, calibration targets, and weather equipment. The requested supply must support a 40-pound payload, continuous 360-degree azimuthal rotation, 0–90-degree elevation tilt, 0.1 degree-per-second pan and tilt speed, position feedback with 0.1-degree resolution, and a control method using a communications interface. Minimum specifications include RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, or Ethernet communications; OEM control software or serial data transmission; included control software or a web interface; attachment-point width greater than 8 inches; an operating temperature of -10 degrees Celsius; a 40-pound unit weight; and IP67 water and dust protection. Respondents must submit a written capability statement addressing company information, technical capability and supporting product documentation, active CAGE code, socioeconomic business size, and any anticipated teaming or subcontracting structure. This is an RFI/sources-sought notice for acquisition planning and will not result directly in a contract award.
