Description
The Department of Health and Human Services, through the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is offering the Research Enhancement Award Program (REAP) to stimulate basic and clinical research in educational institutions. This program aims to create opportunities for faculty members at eligible domestic institutions to conduct small-scale research projects, expose undergraduate and/or graduate students to research, and strengthen the institution's research environment. REAP grants are intended for institutions that have not been major recipients of NIH support but award NIH-relevant degrees and have received less than $6 million annually in NIH support over the last seven fiscal years. The program is open to various eligible institutions, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic-serving Institutions, and others, but excludes non-U.S. entities.
