Description
The Province of British Columbia is seeking three rappel helicopters that meet specified requirements and minimum performance parameters, together with pilots and maintenance crews, for BC Wildfire Service operations. Services include rappel insertion; hoist insertion and extraction; initial attack; large-fire support; reconnaissance; transportation of personnel, cargo, and dangerous goods to and from remote or fire-line locations; fire suppression; bucketing; tanking; and related wildfire-management activities. The helicopters will be based at the Provincial Rappel Operations Centre in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. Respondents must identify a designated helicopter and provide the required performance information. A successful respondent must have the proposed helicopter in its possession by March 1, 2027, and make it available for initial inspection thereafter. Responses may be submitted through the BC Bid electronic system or by email as an accessible, retainable attachment; email submissions may not be provided through a link.
