Description
The National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) is offering the Maximizing Investigators' Research Award (MIRA) to provide stable funding for individual investigators conducting research within NIGMS' scientific mission. This grant aims to increase funding stability, allow for greater research flexibility, distribute funding more widely, reduce time spent on grant applications, and decrease administrative burden. The program is open to eligible NIGMS-funded investigators and New Investigators proposing research aligned with NIGMS' mission. Renewal applications are also accepted from current MIRA grantees, though early-stage investigators should apply through the ESI MIRA NOFO. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply, and applications involving foreign subawards/subcontracts will be deemed noncompliant.
