Description
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County seeks a contractor to operate an exclusive campus beverage program. The scope includes supplying bottled and canned beverages, fountain products, vending machines, coolers, and related equipment; distributing products to campus dining and retail operations; and maintaining, repairing, stocking, and servicing equipment. Vending equipment must support the university’s campus card and other approved payment methods, meet accessibility requirements, and comply with Energy Star requirements. The contract also includes product pricing, commissions and financial commitments, sponsorships, donations, marketing, campus engagement, and sustainability initiatives. Proposals must address the technical requirements and include a financial proposal. The technical response calls for an executive summary/transmittal letter, a detailed response to the requirements, product and marketing plans, sustainability and maintenance approaches, revenue projections, personnel and company information, experience and references, subcontractor information, and specified exhibits and affidavits. A 5% certified Minority Business Enterprise subcontracting goal applies. Attendance at the virtual pre-proposal conference is mandatory. The contract has a ten-year base term with three two-year renewal options.
