The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) is soliciting grant applications for Clinical Research Center Grants. These grants aim to foster advancements in the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and amelioration of human sensory and communication disorders. Clinical research, as defined for this opportunity, involves studies with individuals who have a sensory and/or communication disorder, or utilize data/tissues from such individuals. While the primary focus is on research involving affected individuals, applications may propose limited departures with strong scientific justification and consultation with NIDCD staff. A low-risk clinical trial is optional for applicants. Eligibility is extended to various entities, including eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (Other than Federally Recognized), regional organizations, U.S. territories or possessions, and non-domestic (non-U.S.) entities are not eligible. Foreign components are permitted as defined by NIH Grants Policy Statement.
