Description
Erie 1 BOCES is soliciting bids for high-speed telecommunications service for the West Seneca School District and remote sites. Vendors may propose district-wide dark fiber service or a point-to-point lit service, such as 10-gigabit Ethernet, connecting a central hub to multiple remote locations. The service must support voice, video, data, and future applications, with a minimum bandwidth of 10 Gbps per link for alternative solutions and no oversubscription for lit services. The scope includes all required materials, construction, rights-of-way, installation, demarcation equipment, maintenance, testing, documentation, and related service support. Lit-fiber providers must supply and maintain appropriate 10 GB-capable demarcation equipment; fiber installation requirements include underground runs, conduit, tracer wire, hand-holes, distribution enclosures, fusion splicing, testing, and as-built route documentation. Bidders must submit pricing for an initial five-year service term with three additional five-year renewals, along with required certifications, a bid response form, references, a sample contract, financial information, and supporting technical documentation.
