The Department of the Air Force is issuing an Advanced Research Announcement (ARA) for Research Engineering Development and Analysis for Cyber Targeting (REDACT). This initiative seeks innovative research to develop adversary system of systems analysis to support the Air Force, USCYBERCOM, and other mission partners. The research will encompass requirements evaluation, proof-of-concept technology development, and deployment of technology in operationally realistic environments for evaluation, ultimately enabling mission partners to create and optimize Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP) against evolving threats. The ARA is open until December 8, 2030, with suggested submission dates for FY26 through FY30. The total estimated funding for this ARA is approximately $999.9M, with individual awards typically ranging from $1M to $100M and not normally exceeding sixty months. Awards may be made as FAR-based procurement contracts or Other Transactions (OTs). There is potential for follow-on production contracts or agreements after successful completion of prototype projects.
