Description
This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) supports fundamental research focused on understanding skin injuries caused by chemical threats. The research aims to investigate commonalities in these injuries, identify shared signaling pathways, and discover potential therapeutic targets for medical countermeasure development. Eligibility is broad, including various serving institutions, federal agencies, faith-based organizations, and tribal governments. However, non-domestic (non-U.S.) entities and non-domestic components of U.S. organizations are not eligible to apply. Foreign components are permitted. The funding is categorized as discretionary and falls under health research, specifically related to Allergy and Infectious Diseases Research (Assistance Listing 93.855) and Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases Research (Assistance Listing 93.846).
