This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) invites applications for a wide range of research efforts focused on computational genomics, data science, statistics, and bioinformatics. The research should be relevant to basic or clinical genomic science and broadly applicable to human health and disease. The initiative supports fundamental genomics research aimed at developing innovative analytical methodologies and approaches, the early-stage development of tools and software, and the refinement or hardening of software and tools that are of significant value to the biomedical genomics community. All applications are expected to address how the proposed methods would scale to handle increasingly larger datasets. Various entities are eligible to apply, including but not limited to: Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISISs), Eligible Agencies of the Federal Government, Faith-based or Community-based Organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (Other than Federally Recognized), Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations), Regional Organizations, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs), and U.S. Territories or Possessions.
