Description
This opportunity from the Department of Health and Human Services seeks proposals for the NIH Research Project Grant. This grant supports discrete, specified, and circumscribed research projects within areas of interest to the investigator's competencies. A key requirement is that all proposed projects must include at least one clinical trial. The research must align with the scientific missions of participating NIH Institutes and Centers. Eligibility is broad, encompassing various institutions and organizations, including Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISISs), eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (Other than Federally Recognized), non-U.S. entities, regional organizations, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs), and U.S. Territories or Possessions. Applicant types include state governments, public and Indian housing authorities, city or township governments, independent school districts, nonprofits (both with and without 501c3 status), special district governments, county governments, public and state institutions of higher education, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, for-profit organizations other than small businesses, private institutions of higher education, small businesses, other Native American tribal organizations, and non-profits non-higher education with 501c3. The funding instrument is a grant, and funding categories include income security and social services, health, food and nutrition, environment, and education.
