This funding opportunity from the NIH BRAIN Initiative aims to establish facilities at minority-serving institutions (MSIs) and Institutional Development Award (IDeA)-eligible institutions. These facilities will focus on the scaled production and distribution of reagents for accessing and manipulating specific brain cell types. The reagents, which may include viral vectors, nucleic acid constructs, and nanoparticles, are intended for use by the broader neuroscience research community to precisely probe circuit function in experimental animals and human tissues. Awardees will collaborate with existing BRAIN Initiative Armamentarium projects to optimize and distribute these critical resources.
