Description
The City of Columbus Department of Public Service is soliciting professional engineering services for preliminary engineering and full detailed design of the N Knot SR315 at Lane Avenue interchange under PID No. 117947. The scope includes optimizing Lane Avenue and interchange-ramp configurations, developing a modified diamond interchange, and providing pedestrian and bicycle facilities throughout the project limits. The work also includes replacement and lengthening of the SR315 bridge over Lane Avenue and the CSX railroad bridge over Lane Avenue, landscaping, lighting replacement and upgrades, new lighting where needed, stormwater quality and quantity controls, environmental studies, right-of-way support, utility coordination, geotechnical services, traffic control, public involvement, cost estimating, and construction-plan development. The selected consultant will perform work through task authorizations, with an initial appropriation of $3,000,000 subject to City Council approval; the estimated construction cost is $111,000,000. Proposals are evaluated on the project manager, project team, past performance, and understanding of the project and approach. The proposal package requires a proposal, a signed Proposal Signature Form, and multiple prequalification documents, with a 15-page proposal limit.
