Description
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking a consulting firm or consortium to integrate nature-positive decision-making into Samoa's tourism and agriculture sectors under the GEF-funded Blue Green Island Integrated Programme—Coastal Resilience Samoa. The assignment is an 18-month, interdisciplinary consultancy totaling approximately 390 working days. The scope includes updating and expanding Natural Capital Accounting modules for energy, water, waste, mangroves, coral reefs, seagrass, and forests; integrating these accounts into the Tourism Satellite Account and national accounts; developing and deploying user-friendly, open-source national and local Decision Support Tools to evaluate Nature-based Solutions; and delivering capacity development, stakeholder engagement, institutionalization, knowledge transfer, data management, GIS, quality assurance, and related technical support. The work is primarily home-based with missions to Samoa and includes four planned missions for up to two personnel each. Proposals must include technical and financial submissions, with the financial proposal uploaded separately in the commercial section of the online system.
