Description
NOAA’s Marine Operations Center intends to procure two custom-built YMD-11596 hydraulic cylinders from Appleton Marine, Inc. The cylinders are proprietary to Appleton Marine and specifically designed for the side A-frame on the NOAA Ship Reuben Lasker; the notice states that no commercially available alternatives can be used on the system. This is a notice of intent to sole source, not a request for competitive quotes, and no solicitation package is available. Firms believing they can meet the requirement may submit a capability statement with sufficient detail for NOAA to assess whether a competitive procurement is warranted. The notice requires electronic correspondence to use the specified announcement number and project title in the subject line.
