Request for Proposals – Survey Monument Location Project Carbon County is accepting sealed proposals for a survey project to locate and document survey monuments throughout Carbon County. The project consists of researching, recovering, and field-locating approximately 40 Public Land Survey System corners and other survey monuments, documenting each monument with photographs and a monument record, and delivering the coordinates and records in a digital format usable by the Carbon County GIS Department and by surveyors working on projects throughout the County. Proposals must state the cost per corner recovered and documented and the cost per corner searched where no monument is found. All work must be performed by or under the direct supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor holding a current license in the State of Utah, holding Geographical Competence for Rural Utah / Carbon County, and having the ability to file corner records with the Carbon County Surveyor. Work must be completed no later than April 15, 2027. Interested firms must contact Todd Thorne at (435) 636-3261 for additional project information before submitting a proposal. Sealed proposals are due at the Carbon County clerks' office at 751 East 100 North Suite #1100, Price, Utah 84501, prior to 3:00 p.m. on September 16, 2027. Please note on the outside of a sealed envelope: Survey Monument Location Project Carbon County is not responsible for proposals that are late due to delays in delivery by any source. Faxed and emailed proposals are not acceptable. Proposals will be opened during the regularly scheduled Carbon County Commission meeting at 4:30 p.m. on September 16, 2026 at the aforementioned address in the Commission Chambers. Carbon County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informality of any proposal, and to select the proposal which in the opinion of the County provides the best product, warranty and/or service to the County.
