Description
The City of Douglas is soliciting bids for one new specified turbine debris blower for use at the Douglas Community Club. The equipment must have a gas engine rated at 26 horsepower or more, a handheld wireless controller capable of starting and stopping the engine, adjusting throttle speed, and rotating the air nozzle 360 degrees, and a tow-behind trailer with a low-profile lawn-tractor-style hitch that accommodates varying equipment heights. Required specifications also include turf tires of 4-ply 20x10-8 or larger, a high-efficiency axial-flow turbine fan, a single-piece impact-resistant plastic nozzle with an outlet diameter of at least 12 inches, rotor and fan assembly diameters of at least 14 inches, and a two-year warranty. Bidders must submit the completed bid form, pricing schedule, signature page, complete equipment specifications and descriptive literature, and a 5% bid bond or certified/cashier's check based on the total bid amount. Delivery is required within 120 days after notice of award.
