Description
Elkhart County is soliciting bids for intersection improvements at County Road 22/Orpha Drive and County Road 37 in Middlebury, Indiana. The project includes widening the intersection to add left-turn lanes, realigning the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail, installing approximately 919 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer, 339 linear feet of 10-inch sanitary sewer, 169 linear feet of 6-inch sanitary laterals, storm sewer and drainage structures, and roadway pavement improvements. The work also includes clearing and earthwork, subgrade treatment, aggregate base, HMA surface/intermediate/base courses, concrete approaches, erosion control, pavement markings, traffic maintenance, utility coordination, and related construction activities. Bidders must be currently prequalified by the Indiana Department of Transportation and submit the required bid forms, financial statement, non-collusion affidavit, proof of prequalification, itemized proposal, and 10% bid bond. The contract requires performance and payment bonding equal to 100% of the contract price and a three-year maintenance bond equal to at least 10% of the contract price.
