Description
The Department of War intends to procure a commercial electric forklift to support engineering, earthmoving, and base operation tasks. Specific technical requirements are still being finalized. This notice is for informational and market planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. The government is not obligated to issue a formal solicitation or award a contract based on this notice. Interested vendors should monitor SAM.gov for future updates. The forklift specifications include a low-maintenance 48V battery, a joystick control for lifting, tilting, and auxiliary functions, a full-color graphic display with a trip computer, and a rear camera displayed on a 7-inch color monitor. It will feature LED lighting, including headlights, rear and stop lights, and working spotlights activated when reversing. The cabin is equipped with a heater and air conditioning, a comfortable driver's seat with adjustable features, and storage compartments. Safety features include a mechanical parking brake, a seatbelt interlock system, and blue safety lights. The forklift will have a charging time of 7-8.5 hours for its 48V battery and a nominal connected load of 5.30KW. It also includes a fork positioner with a sideshifter and comes with German documentation.
