Description
The Department of National Defence is seeking various types and sizes of alpine ski touring boots for the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre's Advanced Mountain Operations course. The requirement includes up to 48 pairs of boots, up to 48 pairs of insoles, and up to 12 pairs of replacement liners across January 2027 and January 2028 delivery periods. Boots must meet specified technical requirements, including a two-piece design, 100–104 mm width, 1,346–1,780 g weight, 45–67+ degree range of motion, 110–130 ski flex rating, GripWalk soles, and compatibility with tech bindings and multiple crampon types. Equivalent products meeting the mandatory criteria may be proposed. The contractor must provide fitting sessions at its location within Calgary, Canmore, or Banff, including liner molding, shell punching or shaping, and secondary or tertiary adjustments as needed. Offers must include technical specification sheets demonstrating compliance, completed offer and declaration forms, and financial pricing for both contract periods. The requirement is limited to Canadian goods and/or services, and products must include at least a one-year manufacturer defect warranty.
