Description
The United Nations Development Programme is seeking an individual national consultant to support implementation of the ADAPT project in Sukhbaatar Aimag. The assignment covers planning and coordination of climate-resilient water, forest, and pasture measures; technical and quality-assurance support for ponds, reforestation, forest restoration, rotational grazing, and related infrastructure; field monitoring; environmental and social safeguards; and documentation of results. The consultant will also engage herder groups, cooperatives, Resource User Groups, local authorities, and other stakeholders; facilitate Resource Use Agreements and Free, Prior and Informed Consent processes; organize capacity-building activities; and prepare an inception report, two progress reports, and a final report with recommendations and supporting records. The contract is for 104 working days over 12 months, with work at the project's local office and regular travel to project sites. Applicants must have at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, five years of relevant experience, and Mongolian fluency with basic English communication skills.
