Description
Darlington County seeks proposals for a plan to restore its currently inoperable Environmental Services Transfer Station to operation. Responses must include a detailed restoration plan, total bid price, company information, three similar-service references covering at least one year of work within the last three years, disclosure of adverse business circumstances, and a list of warranties. Evaluation will consider price, materials, and warranties. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining necessary licenses, providing competent supervision, protecting people and property, and performing work without unnecessarily interfering with facility operations. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required. A 5% bid bond is required for bids of at least $100,000; the selected contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds after notice of intent to award. Required insurance includes general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation, with specified limits.
