The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide food and beverage services for the cafeterias at Las Positas College in Livermore, CA, and Chabot College in Hayward, CA. The contract will be for an initial term of three years with an option to renew for an additional two years, contingent upon satisfactory vendor performance. The scope of services includes providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, with menus that incorporate ethnic foods, vegetarian options, salads, and fast food. The vendor will be responsible for all aspects of cafeteria operations, including maintenance, furnishing and maintaining equipment and supplies, providing pest control, and managing personnel and financial transactions. The vendor may also offer packaged food and snack items. The vendor is required to submit proposed menus and pricing for review and approval, and any changes must also be approved by the District. Healthy alternatives are expected in menu offerings. A mandatory walk-through is scheduled for February 12, 2024, at Las Positas College and February 15, 2024, at Chabot College. Proposals are due by 11:00 AM on February 27, 2024, and must be submitted by mail to the District Office Purchasing Department in Dublin, California. The RFP requires three original hard copies and an electronic copy on a flash drive. Evaluation criteria include completeness, relevant experience, cost proposal/commission, financial stability, menu variety, and references.
