Description
The City of Fernandina Beach is soliciting competitive sealed bids for an upgrade to its wastewater digester blower and aeration systems. The work includes furnishing and installing a new multistage centrifugal blower, 200-horsepower motor, controls, accessories, piping, and related equipment; removing, shipping to an authorized original-equipment-manufacturer facility, repairing, and reinstalling one existing blower; and providing startup, alignment, inspection, operation and maintenance documentation, and manufacturer-authorized field services. The project also includes a coarse-bubble aeration system for the digesters, including stainless-steel headers, drop pipes, supports, connectors, and diffusers, along with diffuser work, sediment removal and disposal, wiring of the new motor and blower to an existing drive, and work inside both tanks and around the external blowers. Addendum No. 1 clarifies that the City will drain the tanks as much as possible, provides a staging area and gate access, and requires the contractor to coordinate work hours while City staff are present. The contractor must acknowledge the addendum by attaching a signed copy; failure to do so may disqualify the bid. Required equipment submittals, calculations, installation and maintenance instructions, training, and warranty support remain applicable.
