Fairfield County Engineer's Office is requesting letters of interest from firms prequalified with both the Fairfield County Engineer and the Ohio Department of Transportation to prepare plans for the Basil Road over Walnut Creek Bridge Replacement Project. The selected consultant will replace the existing bridge and improve the approaches within the stated project limits. The scope includes property-owner notifications; topographic and boundary surveying; roadway centerline, right-of-way, utility, and drainage documentation; proposed horizontal and vertical alignments; control monuments; soil borings and analysis; structure type studies and preliminary cost estimates; bridge design for HL-93 loading under current AASHTO LRFD, ODOT, and county standards; load rating; hydraulic and drainage studies; driveway and drainage profiles; maintenance-of-traffic detour planning; construction drawings; right-of-way plats and legal descriptions; design exceptions; and staged plan submissions for county review. Responses must be submitted as a signed letter of interest/statement of qualifications, limited to 10 pages plus up to two pages for the project approach, with specified formatting and binding requirements.
