Description
This Sources Sought/RFI seeks commercial manufacturing capabilities for high-volume physical vapor deposition of silicon dioxide onto 2–4 micron aluminum flakes supporting the Screening Obscuration Module–Multispectral program. Proposed approaches should scale from hundreds of pounds to tons and significantly reduce current manufacturing costs for long-term military sustainment. Responses should be a white paper of no more than five pages addressing the manufacturing approach, facility scale, equipment, lead times, cost projections and scale-related cost reductions, maturity and capacity, technical or manufacturing risks, and relevant company experience or past performance. Responders must also provide company information, including business classification and CAGE Code, and an authorized representative’s contact information. This is an information-gathering effort only and is not a solicitation for proposals or a commitment to award a contract.
