Description
The City of Modesto is soliciting bids from properly licensed Class B general building contractors for the rehabilitation of a single residence at 1017 Crippen Avenue. The work write-up and bid submittal require bidders to provide labor, materials, overhead, profit, taxes, cleanup, debris removal, and related work necessary to complete the specified repairs in accordance with applicable California building codes, City housing rehabilitation standards, and federal housing-program requirements. Potential work includes roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and water-heater work, window and door replacement, accessibility modifications, structural and code corrections, interior and exterior repairs, lead-safe practices where applicable, and related improvements. Bidders must attend the mandatory bid tour, submit the completed work write-up with itemized costs, complete and sign the contractor signature form, and submit electronically through the City's OpenGov Procurement Portal. The project is not subject to prevailing wage requirements. The selected contractor must maintain required general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation coverage and be prepared to commence work within the stated contract requirements.
