Description
Health Canada is seeking contractors to collect surface-water samples and associated field data in selected high-risk watersheds in Ontario for the Canadian Water Monitoring Program for Pesticides. The work includes collaborating on site selection, conducting site visits twice weekly during the typical April-to-October agricultural application period, collecting samples and site observations, maintaining electronic sample logs and metadata, taking required photographs, freezing and shipping samples to designated federal laboratories, and providing chain-of-custody documentation. The contractor must provide field equipment, sampling personnel, safety training, and personal protective equipment; obtain access consent for private sampling locations; and provide local environmental expertise concerning land use, watershed characteristics, water quality, water levels, flows, and crop information. The requirement covers five Ontario regions, with an initial period through March 31, 2027, and three one-year option periods. Bidders may propose one or more complete regions. Technical proposals must demonstrate at least five years of surface-water sampling experience, and award will be based on a combined technical-merit and price evaluation.
