This Notice of Funding Opportunity invites grant applications for Environmental Health Sciences Core Centers (EHSCC). These centers will serve as intellectual hubs for environmental health science research, aligning with the 2025-2029 NIEHS Strategic Plan. The EHSCC's are expected to provide critical research infrastructure, shared facilities, services, and resources to support groups of investigators conducting environmental health sciences research. The primary goal is to identify and address emerging issues that advance the understanding of the relationships between environmental exposures, human biology, and disease, with a focus on community engagement and translational research to improve public health. Eligibility extends to various organizations including Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions, eligible agencies of the Federal Government, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Indian/Native American Tribal Governments, regional organizations, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities, U.S. territories, and non-domestic components of U.S. organizations. Foreign organizations are not eligible to apply, nor are non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. organizations. Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are permitted.
