Description
The U.S. Department of State is seeking qualifications from architect-engineer firms to prepare a complete, construction-ready design package for renovating existing consular workspace and kitchenette areas. The scope includes site investigations, space programming, architectural and interior design, demolition and partition planning, FF&E planning, interior elevations, reflected ceiling plans, electrical and data layouts, plumbing coordination, structural analysis as needed, finishes, flooring, millwork, cabinetry, accessibility and code review, multidisciplinary coordination, construction drawings, technical specifications, a project manual, and a detailed construction cost estimate. This is a qualifications-based selection; pricing must not be included in the initial submission. Firms will be evaluated on professional qualifications, specialized experience and technical competence, capacity, past performance, local knowledge, and other relevant qualifications. The submission must include a completed SF 330, licensing or registration evidence for key personnel, project-team information, up to three relevant projects completed within the past five years, two client references, an availability and capacity statement, and a description of the firm's coordination approach. Proposed architects and engineers must hold applicable South African registrations or acceptable equivalent U.S. credentials, and the design must account for South African requirements, local construction practices, and market availability of materials and equipment.
