Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Wildlife Services, intends to issue a sole-source purchase order for Wildlife Dominion Management's HogEye Cellular Camera Systems. The requirement includes live-video, solar-powered, cellular-enabled cameras with infrared night vision, motion-triggered detection, LTE alerts, image and video capture, rugged weatherproof construction, secure remote arming and disarming, and sustained autonomous field operation. The contractor must also furnish and support propane scare cannons, optional pyrotechnic launchers, and the hardware and software integration needed to remotely trigger deterrent devices through the camera interface. The notice states that Wildlife Dominion is the original manufacturer and that its proprietary parts and software are unavailable to third-party providers; authorized technical support, repairs, and genuine replacement parts are therefore required. The agency is accepting responses from responsible sources by email despite the stated intent to award on a sole-source basis.
