Description
Erie 1 BOCES is soliciting a high-speed telecommunications service for West Seneca Central School District and remote sites. Bidders may propose district-wide leased dark fiber or point-to-point lit fiber, including 10 Gbps Ethernet service. The scope includes a central hub and multiple remote sites, with vendor-provided demarcation equipment, installation, construction, rights-of-way, and all associated fees. The service must support voice, video, data, and future applications; lit service may not be oversubscribed and must provide a two-hour repair response during specified service hours. For dark fiber, the vendor must provide and maintain the fiber infrastructure and grant Erie 1 BOCES exclusive use through an irrevocable right to use for the contract term. Installation requirements include underground building entrances, conduit, tracer wire, handholes, fiber distribution enclosures, fusion splicing, testing, labeling, and as-built route documentation. Bids must include the required certifications, bid response form, supporting documentation, current W-9, references where applicable, a sample contract, and financial information. The preferred structure is an initial five-year service term with three subsequent five-year renewals, for a potential 20-year total term.
