The U.S. Department of the Navy's NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Philadelphia is soliciting a repair requirement for axial piston pump units, including a revised quantity of four units for NSN 1650-01-523-8294. The contractor must provide the facility, labor, materials, parts, tooling, and test equipment needed to overhaul, upgrade, repair, inspect, test, and return the units to Ready for Issue condition. The scope includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection, component repair or replacement, reassembly, testing, process-control documentation, configuration management, packaging, and enclosed storage. The contractor must identify the repair source and actual work location, and perform the work at the facility identified in the statement of work. The contractor is responsible for necessary parts and materials, repair procedures, inspection and test procedures, quality controls, calibration, and compliance with applicable drawings, repair manuals, ISO 9001 or SAE AS9100 requirements, and MIL-STD-2073 packaging provisions. Government approval is required for changes to repair sources, facilities, manuals, drawings, specifications, and certain repair dispositions. The solicitation requires source approval for this flight-critical item and permits pricing as either firm-fixed price or test, teardown, and evaluation pricing, with estimated repair costs.
