Description
The NIH Research Education Program (R25) aims to support educational activities that enhance understanding of biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research. This program specifically focuses on providing research experiences for high school students, undergraduate students, or science teachers during the summer academic break. Applicants must ensure their proposed program aligns with the mission of the participating NIH Institutes and Centers and does not have a general STEM focus. Eligibility is extended to various institutions and organizations, including Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions, Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISISs), eligible Federal Government agencies, faith-based or community-based organizations, Hispanic-serving Institutions, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Indian/Native American Tribal Governments (other than Federally Recognized), Regional Organizations, Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs), and U.S. Territories or Possessions. Foreign organizations and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible. Clinical trials are not permitted under this program.
