Description
The Virgin Islands Port Authority is soliciting quotations for the purchase and replacement of four marine fenders at the Ann E. Abramson Marine Facility: removal of one existing fender, installation of three new fenders, and delivery of one spare. The specified system is a Sumitomo HP-I 1250H x 1000L with a minimum CP0 performance grade or approved equivalent. The contractor must provide all materials, labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and incidental services, comply with Buy American requirements, and be licensed to conduct business in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The contractor must submit manufacturer technical data, shop drawings, performance curves, and engineering calculations demonstrating compliance with applicable PIANC guidelines. The complete fender assembly and proposed performance grade must be reviewed and certified by a qualified professional engineer experienced in marine fender design before procurement. Work may use lifting devices and floating equipment, must avoid cruise-ship arrivals and berthing, and includes a one-year warranty for the fender system and workmanship. The Authority will provide a staging area, may award to multiple bidders, and will issue awards by October 28, 2026.
