Description
The Regional District of North Okanagan is seeking qualified companies to conduct annual on-site geotechnical slope assessments along its 0-to-12.5-kilometre portion of the Okanagan Rail Trail. The work will re-evaluate previously identified minor-, moderate-, and high-risk areas where rockfall and debris slides may threaten trail users and infrastructure, and identify changes or new hazards. The successful proponent must prepare an annual professional report describing assessment procedures, observations and hazard assessments, and conceptual mitigation options. At the district's discretion, the proponent may also oversee mitigation work performed by a third-party contractor. On-site assessments must occur annually between April 1 and May 30, with reports issued no later than June 15 each year.
